We're big fans of odd world records like the teeniest weenie or the world's largest bottle of whisky. Recently though, some Italian guys really impressed us with one of the coolest achievements to date-- they made the world's largest round pizza.

Heading the project was Dovilio Nardi, a pizza chef and aficionado. He and his team cranked out a pie that was 131 feet in diameter. The pie had 19,800 pounds of flour, 10,000 pounds of tomato sauce, 8,800 pounds of mozzarella cheese, 1,488 pounds of margarine, 551 pounds of rock salt, 220 pounds of lettuce and 55 pounds of vinegar, and clocked in at a whopping 51,257 pounds. We're not sure who puts lettuce on pizza but we'll try anything once.

It took a full two days to bake the over 5,000 batches of pizza dough and a team of five chefs to take on the monster creation.
