There are all sorts of ways to treat someone for video game addiction, but a father in China got truly creative when he hired in-game assassins to virtually kill his son every time he played.

According to reports, a father named Mr. Feng was upset that his 23-year-old unemployed son, Xiao, spent all his time playing rather than looking for work. So, he hired hitmen in his son's favorite online games to mercilessly hunt him down.

Feng thought that if his son's characters died whenever he tried to play, he would quickly grow bored of games and devote more time to finding work instead.

Unfortunately, the ploy didn't work and the son refused to stop playing despite repeated pwnage by his father's hired goons. "I can play or I can not play, it doesn’t bother me," he said. "I’m not looking for any job — I want to take some time to find one that suits me."

While we applaud the dad's unique way of dealing with the problem, he might want to try something simpler next time, like unplugging the kid's computer.
