Cough Up $30, Get ‘Max Payne 3′ DLC Until Football Season
There are two ways to look at downloadable content: That publishers are holding back some good stuff in order to bleed some more money out of you, or that the new stuff is a sign that they've been hard at work making new levels and maps, extending the life of your purchase.
Rockstar Games has found a way to convince gamers that it's doing the latter, despite tipping them off that it's got no problem doing the former. The publisher sells season passes that let gamers download all the post-release stuff they crank out, giving it to them for cheaper than what it would cost if they bought each download individually.
The publisher announced that it's doing the season pass thing again with Max Payne 3, which comes out May 15. Your $30 gets you seven planned DLC packs, which will save you 35 percent if you buy them a la carte (French for "like you buy lapdances").
