‘Trials Evolution’ Was So Popular Its Leaderboards Became Bleederboards

Folks love themselves some motorcycle trickery. The Xbox Live Arcade download 'Trials Evolution' was too popular for its own good midweek. With more than 100,000 players active, the game's servers were overwhelmed and its leader boards were crashed.

The ludicrously well-reviewed motocross racer -- think Excitebike only with a million times better graphics and design -- lets you bounce, back flip and wheelie through courses with style, grace and speed, matching your times with the rest of the world. Well, you can match times with the rest of the world when the game is up to the challenge, at least.

During the surge, the leader boards reverted to read-only mode before going down entirely. Developer RedLynx seems to have gotten on top of the problem and has vowed never to make a game that so many people want to play ever again. Not really, but that would have been funny.
