The 22-year-old soccer forward for Seattle Sounders and US Women's National Team was the youngest player on the USA's roster at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Last summer, Morgan came off the bench in five of the six games at the World Cup — scoring in both the Americans’ semifinal win over France and their championship game loss to Japan.

As of publication, Alex was the national team’s leading scorer in 2012 with 17 goals, and 8, giving her 42 points,  eight more than Abby Wambach.

She was also the first California Golden Bears women's soccer player to be drafted in the first round of Women's Professional Soccer.

Morgan appeared in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue appearing in a section the featured athletes in body paint (fellow Mind-Number Natalie Coughlin also served as a canvas). In an interview with Bleacher Report, she admitted that shoot was more nerve-racking than playing in the Olympics.
