No. 34: Zoe Saldana — 100 Most Mind-Numbingly Hot Women of 2012

The 34-year-old actress was born in Jersey and grew up in Queens, New York. Her first major role was as Eva Rodriguez aka E-Rod in the 2000 drama 'Center Stage.'

However, her breakout year didn't come until 2009 when she starred as Nyota Uhura in the reboot of Star Trek and Neytiri in Avatar. Her portrayal of a blue cat-lady in James Cameron's social commentary on the war in Iraq earned her a BET Award for Best Actress and a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress in the Sci-Fi category.

Last year, we got to see her kick caboose as the hitwoman Cataleya Restrepo in the action film, 'Colombiana'. The role earned her an IGN Award for 'Babe of the Summer'.

On the horizon for Saldana are the sequels to Star Trek and Avatar in addition to the thriller 'Out of the Furnace' - starring Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson - the crime drama thriller 'Blood Ties' starring Mila Kunis and Marion Cotillard, and 'Machete Kills', the follow up to Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete'.
