To war!
Dragon Force offers massive, 200-troop battles in the vein of every great fantasy war movie. Each general has different troops under his or her command and you can choose everything from monks and samurai to zombies and harpies. Each one is strong against another type of enemy troop, so choosing who to bring along in a fight is key. Your leader can get into the mix as well with spells and special abilities, strong attacks that can easily change the tide of battle. And what a tide it is!
It's still impressive today seeing the wave of troops go running at each other with the roar of battle, smashing into each other with clashing swords. The Japanese got a Dragon Force sequel and a PS2 remake of the first game, but we got nothing, perhaps because the game got dumped on the ailing Sega Saturn over here.
